Jerry Carter grew up in Winter Haven, graduated from Polk County schools and sent his four children to Polk County schools. All along the way, parental input was critical to successful educational outcomes. Jerry understands that parents know their children best and will fight to keep them in the driver’s seat when it comes to their child’s education. -
Immigration
The only way to preserve freedom in our great state is to make sure everyone is playing by the same rules, and that starts with enforcing our immigration laws. You can count on Jerry Carter to fight for commonsense immigration policies like E-verify, deporting criminal illegal aliens, and relocating undocumented migrants to sanctuary cities that have the resources and bandwidth to meet their needs. -
Second Amendment
Jerry Carter knows that the Second Amendment is the constitutional right that protects all the other freedoms we enjoy. He’ll protect our rights to hunt and fish, oppose proposals that create gun registries, and empower Floridians to protect themselves and their families. The Constitution is clear: the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

While Florida has made great progress in protecting unborn babies and shifting the culture towards life, there is more work to be done to support mothers, encourage adoption, and allow Floridians of all ages to reach their maximum God-given potential. Jerry Carter is running for State House to honor his Polk County roots and lead with his deeply held conservative values.
At his core, Jerry is a committed family man and devout Christian. He believes in the values of faith, family, and freedom and will defend Floridians from religious persecution and protect our constitutional rights. Above all, he’s committed to protecting the most vulnerable among us, the unborn.
As a small businessman, Jerry knows what it takes to drive our economy forward: low taxes, fair consumer protections, and limited regulations that don’t burden hardworking Floridians. He understands that the government should never stand in the way of our daily lives.
Jerry is committed to protecting law enforcement, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring that Florida’s immigration laws are fully enforced. He sees through the dangerous and radical agenda of the liberal left and is determined to root out wokeness from our schools, courts, and government agencies.
Born and raised in Winter Haven, Jerry has deep Polk County roots. He attended Winter Haven High School, Polk Community College, and Florida State University. He operates a family-owned small business in addition to being a licensed real estate broker. Jerry previously served as chairman of the Polk County Republican Party, securing historic victories for conservatives across the county.
